Registration & Visitor data
The purpose of registering visitors and collecting visitor data is to gain insight into who is (or has been) present at an event. The registration must also make it possible to inform visitors about measures prior to the event. Afterwards it must be possible to approach the visitors who have been present by means of communication.
Current rules (dated May 1, 2022)
Ticket sales are not mandatory.
At events requiring a license, the municipality makes agreements with the organizer about checking IDs and entrance tickets.
How does visitor registration work?>
It is important to have the correct data of the visitors of an event available. In times when the rules often change as a result of fluctuating COVID measures, it is good to be able to send each visitor personal information about the rules. A regular ticket sales or reservation system, also at free events, provides for the basic need.
The data that is important to register:
- Name
- Email and/or mobile number
- Day or time the event is attended. For example: start time at a sporting event
- Placement at the event as detailed as possible. For example: seat / section / grandstand at a placed event

Execution
- When registering visitors / ticket sales, make sure that there is a check, so that you can be sure that you can reach the visitor (e.g. e-mail with confirmation).
- When selling multiple tickets in one transaction, it is important to personalize the tickets as much as possible.
- Try to prevent resale. If this doesn't work, personalize tickets
- Indicate in the general terms and conditions that you may contact us for the purpose of research.

Points of attention
- Does the organizer collect the minimum data to be able to contact the visitor later?
- Is there a record of where and when the visitor was at the event (Only applicable in the case of fixed seating)?
- Does the organizer reach all visitors of the event, directly or indirectly? (This can also be done, for example, by having the ticket buyer contact the other people in his or her group)
- Does the organizer have the means to reach the visitors before and after the event? (website, social media, email, sms, Whatsapp)
