About us

The Covid Knowledge Centerfor Events (CKVE) arose from the Fieldlab Events trajectory. Fieldlab Events was created in 2020 as an initiative of the events sector (represented by EventPlatform and the Alliance for Event Builders) with the aim of investigating which measures can replace the 1.5 meters, so that safe and profitable events remain possible during a pandemic such as COVID-19. Fieldlab Events was set up in consultation with science (RadboudUMC, TU Delft and Breda University of Applied Sciences) and supported by the Ministries of Health, Welfare and Sport (VWS), Education, Culture and Science (OCW), Economic Affairs and Climate (EZK) and Justice and Security (J&V).

In Phase I & II (2020-2021), Fieldlab Events was able to conduct research during 28 pilot events. The data that has been collected so far can be found at the Covid Knowledge Centerfor Events in a user-friendly way - arranged according to eleven core topics - and tailored as much as possible to the wishes of the visitor. In continuation of the earlier research, in Phase III (2022) (additional) research is now being conducted by Fieldlab Events (knowledge enrichment, visitor flows and innovation) in three areas. These results are also published on the Covid Knowledge Centerfor Events, where all content has been made applicable for licensing authorities & advisory bodies, license applicants & event organizers and other visitors.

CKVE is edited by the Fieldlab Events program team. This falls under the supervision of the Fieldlab Events steering committee.
