Pre-testing

The basic principle is that visitors to an event have an antigen or rapid test performed at one of the affiliated test locations. Based on a negative test result, the visitor receives a QR code in the CoronaCheck app, which gives 24 hours access to an event.

Research by Fieldlab Events has shown that the starting point for Testing for Entry should be that if the visitor needs to be tested, this should take place as close to home as possible. In this way, the risk of contamination on the way to the event is also immediately eliminated.

Execution

• All information is well explained on the Testing for Entry website (both in Dutch and English). Always refer to this in the communication.
• Testing for Entry is also available free of charge to foreign visitors to an event. Also clearly communicate to these visitors that only a Test for Entry test is valid.
• Clearly state that no exceptions will be made to the policy. Everyone should test.

Test location nearby

• Make agreements with a Testing for Entry supplier in the area, especially at large-scale events.
• For a multi-day event, make a good estimate of the visitors who stay in the area (ask at ticket sales or by means of a survey) and coordinate this with Testing for Entry. They can then adjust the capacity accordingly.

Emergency solution

• Ideally, there should be an emergency solution for people who come to the event without a test result, a few minutes away from the event. In this way you ensure that everyone can be helped with a test near the location.
• Provide clear instructions on how to make an appointment with the emergency solution. Communicate these only at the event location, not in advance.

Points of attention

• During the assessment, look at the agreements that have been made with regard to test capacity. Especially on weekends with many events, a great deal of testing capacity can be made use of.
• What provision has the organizer made for people who appear at the gate without a negative test result?
• Which means of communication does the organizer use to ensure that visitors test in advance, as close to home as possible?
